During the annual Film Music Festival in Krakow, we host the Audio-Visual Forum – a series of panels and workshops for industry professionals from around the world. We explore topics across music production, technology and innovation, composition, and copyright – everything that matters to music creators and performers, especially in today’s rapidly evolving landscape.
One of this year’s panels focused on collaboration in music. I had the immense privilege of joining Hugh Brunt for a conversation and deep dive into projects with London Contemporary Orchestra. We discussed how they blend electronic music with orchestral sound, their incredibly advanced and creative playing techniques and the power of collaboration - amongst many others. They continue to shape the sound of some of the most compelling projects in recent years.
Hugh and the LCO musicians played a crucial role in the ECHO Project’s success. We introduced ECHO to the composers - analysed Volker Bertelmann's scores from the immersive thinking perspective, encouraging involvement of the spatial aspect in compositional process.
In the meantime, I am planning the next Audio-Visual Forum - if you are interested in presenting your technology, giving a talk or joining a discussion on some relevant topics around music production, please reach out! We are also open for industrial partnerships.
